Schools face the challenge of an increasing number of students coming to school with serious health issues – some life threatening. Knowing which students have a serious medical condition can help your school board better protect its students. Students protected by MedicAlert bring peace of mind to parents, principals and teachers. MedicAlert speaks for these children when the child cannot speak for themselves.
The No Child Without® program was specifically designed to complement existing school emergency plans. While this program focuses on protecting children, No Child Without® also helps school administrators and teachers face many of the healthcare challenges in schools today and school districts meet government regulations. In Ontario for example, the passing of Bill 3 (Sabrina's Law) requires schools to implement proper strategies to address the needs of children who are anaphylactic through a formal anaphylaxis management plan and recommends the wearing of MedicAlert. Other provinces across Canada have developed similar legislation.
